Complimentary Fitness & Nutrition Consultation

During our Complimentary Fitness & Nutrition Consultation, we sit down with you and collect specific data points on your nutritional, medical and fitness health history. We analyze this information as a team, brainstorm on your envisioned goals, and then create your customized Fitness Together Program.

Once complete, your Fitness Together Personal Trainer will complete the following tests:

Blood Pressure: Blood pressure is one of the most reliable indicators of one’s health, so we take a baseline measurement to use as a benchmark for our individual program development.

Body Composition: The body has both lean mass (bones, muscle and connective tissues) and fat mass. We estimate relative body fat by using the three site Jackson Pollock Skin Fold Test with the Lang Caliber.

Weight: Since our goal is to improve lean mass and decrease body fat, the scale is not necessarily a good indication of improved body composition. However, weight must be considered when determining body fat percentage and needed for proper evaluation.

Girth: We take measurements of girth (or circumference) at standard anatomical sites around the body as often our clients will lose inches before they see a difference in weight on the scale.

Balance: Many individuals lose their stabilization and balance capabilities due to a sedentary lifestyle. Our customized programs integrate a number of exercises to improve balance and coordination.

Nutritional Analysis: Our nutrition consultants perform a lengthy analysis of each individual’s nutritional history to help target past bad habits and create new healthier eating habits.

This initial consultation is an invaluable service, providing a jumping-off point for your program and a benchmark against which we will measure your progress.
