Cardio Exercise

Cardio exercise is another crucial component of a successful fitness program, fostering endurance and good heart health for overall conditioning and increased lean muscle mass

Research has shown that your body’s fat-burning capacity is accelerated when you perform cardio vascular (CV) exercise at moderate intensity. High intensity CV activity uses your body’s stored glucose almost exclusively, whereas moderate intensity CV activity stimulates the use of the body’s stored fat and promotes the intramuscular changes necessary to enhance the body’s fat burning capabilities.

How many times should you include CV exercise in your daily routine? Current standards dictate exercising no less than 30 minutes 4-5 times per week. Ideally we encourage our members to engage in moderate CV exercise every day, but we will work with you to create a realistic schedule that accommodates your professional and personal availability.

As with our weight-training program, we ensure that our CV exercise recommendations embrace a wide variety of activities, so you never get bored!
